I ain`t scared! A couple years ago I bought a 2000 C-5 with 90k for $18. Runs great, has/had a few bugs in it. I didn`t have anybody check it out for me I just went on my instint of buying used cars all of my life. I know but it ran good. Anyway, it was in the shop in Feb for the harmonic balancer and other stuff. The guy says, It looks like somebody ran it kind of hard this, and that. His partner says the motor sounds good. Ok, I said, How does the clutch feel? Good they said. So what is the problem and is it anything a LS2 can`t fix? Nooooooo, they said lol. I drove it home just like I bought it (execpt for new parts) 75-90mph............Bill in Los Angeles
1999 with 110k. It was drove somewhat hard but for what I got it for and LG did the work last on it and gave it thier thumbs up. I bet she has another 100 in her.
CTSV OWNER thats really impressive. Original motor? Did you buy the car new? Does it feel like its losing power? Actually anyone with over 100k miles with that many miles does it feel like its losing its performance?
1999 with 99,000 miles, runs really strong. The other owner wasnt very hard on it, he kept it bone stock. But as for me I drive it pretty hard, and it seems to run better like that.
130k mi with 412rwhp/394 tq. Clutch was stock but I replaced it when I did the heads/cam at 120k mi. Looked like it could have gone another 50k miles easily (with stock hp). Normal electrical gremlins that C5's are noted for...otherwise a perfectly running mechanical specimen!
01 A4 coupe...bought it with 99,200 on it, has 107,000 on it now. A/c problem finally fixed, a new battery, front brake pads and still runs strong. If I could just figure out how to get my 12 disk changer to work again, I would be just fine.

You don't say what you've already tried. Sometimes, just going around a corner too fast will "confuse" the player, and cause you to get an "error" message. I removed my CD magazine, replaced it, let the discs re-index (you can hear them clicking), then it worked fine.
