I see by your profile your Vette is torch red. Polished stainless looks great on TR.
If you're looking for something different and do decide on another color...the paint pen and vinyl letters the others mentioned can be done to look quite well. Regarding the markers...any arts and craft supply store (Hobby Lobby,etc.) generally has a wide range of colors and pen widths for finer detailing.
