The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Have fun at the track,
Clayton from Las Vegas :flag
A live axle consists of a central differential in a single axle housing that also contains the axleshafts that connect the differential to the driven wheels. The differential is connected to the engine via a universal joint to the driveshaft, and then through the transmission.
Live rear axles show less drivetrain loss in the F-Body cars due to a more direct connection to the drive wheels than the IRS unit has through the articulated half-shaft system. Generally also live axles can be built stronger than an IRS (not the stock F-Body 10 bolt though!) and are common swaps for high horsepower IRS cars (Corvettes and Cobras are examples).
The detriment is that a live axle housing is a static connection between the two wheels it drives, and can be adverse to handling characteristics since those wheels are connected in side to side sway and angular motion...

This is a first come first served basis. The first one on the dyno will be @9am, and they will go in order from there. They will close down after all the cars have been run, so my suggestion is to show up earlier than later. Please email me to get your name on the list.
Discounted rate is $50 for 3 pulls on the dyno (normally $75+).
The confirmed dyno date is for Saturday, 11/8 at:
Horsepower Connection
3939 12th Ave SE Lacey, WA 98503-2245
You can get directions at www.mapquest.com
I hope to see you there!

Email me right away if you have not yet confirmed your attendance for the Dyno Day. Also, if you can not make the 8th, but still want to do it, let me know, as I am composing a possible list for the 15th. notdads@hotmail.com
Let me know if you have any other questions!

I'd suggest that you take it to another dyno.
