I looked into this awhile back. Most of the cars that have AC seats are running AC ducts into the seat from the AC system. There's really no way to retrofit that type of system. I was hoping to find some kind of electrical system but I had no luck.
I know on a hot day my backside gets awfully warm when I have the top down.
How about a very light colored sheepskin seat cover? The light color will reflect the sun and the thicker the better wool nap actually will be cooler than the smooth leather. I have seen them here in Southern California used all the time.
Maybe GM should ditch the leather seats-they stink anyway and go to cloth. I use Neoprene covers to protect the seats abd they are are not hot in the heat/sun.
Since heated seats are available, why can't somebody come up with some air conditioned seats??? 93 degrees in Kansas today
I'm sure my black interior doesn't help either..

you sissy's. it has been 106-107 the last couple days in my town! And with my black interior and crappy a/c, some cold seats would have been like heaven!
We just bought a 2007 Lexus GS 350 and it has air conditioned seats. They are great ! It also has tire pressure sensors but you can't display the readings, just gives a warning if the pressure differential is to great between tires.

Shoulda' bought a Caddy. They have both A/C seats and actual read tire sensors plus a better overall rating than the overpriced Corolla.
My Navigator has a/c seats. Works great. There isn't any duct work, just a small fan under the seat the blows the cooler air on the floor thru the padding and perforated leather. The fan looks very similiar to a pc cooling fan.

...I'm trying to picure that...a cool azz and back and sweat dripping down your face and the rest of your body
I asked about this last year.
There are some manufacturers that sell kits that an upholsterer could install. It involves cutting out a section of your seat foam bottom cushion.
I never thought about the fact that simple air circulation from the bottom of the car should be enough to cool the seat.
My seats are hot as hell too and I don't like sweating up my pants and lower back either.
I would rather have this mod than an extra 20hp.
