Default Torn Seat..Damage..Possible 2 Fix..How much ?

Pretty Damaged..is possible to fix this..how much ?
I believe on early C5 this damage on bolsters is all leather and
not vinyl like later C5..so that's why it's torn so bad..

What have other people done to solve this problema..?

Well they want $1,100 for this cover ..kinda bad..
Plus if you cover just one..then they're mismatched..

www.leatherseats.com and http://www.alknochinteriors.com have lower prices on new covers.
Try fleebay. Post in the C5 parts as WTB: someone might just go buy new ones and sell you their old ones cheap.

I had an upholstery shop fix a bolster by replacing a section of leather with vinyl for 60 bucks a couple of years ago. I don't think they can do that as easy with the bottom cover though.

I would just go buy the GM OEM covers. They are not that expensive IMO

Where in the world did you get this quote? They are only a few hundred from GM. I have not seen a mis-match on the GM OEM's, and have done several. You need your VIN for the right match.

Where can you buy GM OEM parts for the cheapest? As long as its not crazy high like that $1100 site then I might get one myself.

The torn areas in your picture are still leather. The vinyl replaced the leather on the side of the bolster as that was a very high wear location which usually ripped out within a couple of months of car delivery.

You can get replacements from GM, Al Knoch, Vette Essentials, etc.

I would just go to the for sale section and buy a used but still in good condition OEM replacement for around $200 that someone took out of their car. I have the passengers side but the drivers side I took out was thrashed

Are these just seat covers or are they direct replacement covers for your seats.( in other words do you take off the old leather somehow and redo it with the new covers?)

Direct replcement covers. Not hard to do, just remove the seat & snip the hog rings, pull off old covers & slip new ones on & attach new hog rings or you can use zip ties.
