Default Another Question For The Masses...

How difficult is it for an LS7 engine to fit into a 199/1999 vert? Is it even possible? Assuming a car shop installs it, what would have to be upgraded/ changed out? Reason for the question is that I saw the LS7 being offered from SDPC (GM Performance Parts) for roughly the same price as the TT packages from other car shops. All in all, is it worth it?

Don't know the answer to any of your questions, but if you filled out your profile, you might have a better chance of getting a response. Most Forum members like to know who you are and where you are from. Just an observation.

Probably another $2-3K to get the LS7 with it's dry-sump oiling system to work in a C5.

The LS7 it self should be a direct bolt in.

As fdxpilot said the oil sytem is different. Not sure on what all is required to adapt that? Maybe someone can chime in on that?

I also believe that a new wiring harness, and computer would be required.

Pofile updated. Thanks for the helping hand. It seems, so far anyway, the LS7 swap willbe a little more costly than I expected; computer, oil sump, etc. I will continue to solicit recommendations. TT vs. LS7 Swap. Thanks for weighing in.

Go the SC/TT route..You can get the same and even more power than the LS7 and it will be cheaper.
