Default Honey Do Mod List

As some of you may know the Mrs. "let" me pick up a C5 as my "downgrade" from the C6. I managed to aquire a 2004 Z Machine Silver w/ a little over 6,000 miles on the car and an ATI Procharger Stg II.

Since I've had the car (late June) I've added the following -

CAGS Bypass
CCW Wheels

I have in route -
C6Z06 shifter and ****
Grey two-tone seat covers
Window Tint
LG Headers

I think my next mod will be a set of brakes. The CCW wheels and larger tires (19's all around) have added a bit of weight not to mention the wheels are chrome plated. I've noticed a rather larger difference in stopping power.

What are you opinions on a brake setup that would be used 90% on the street?

The ones I've considered are -
WILWOOD
STOPTECH
MOVIT
C6Z06 OEM BRAKES

What are some of the things I need to know about brakes on the C5Z. Would a better pad and SS lines and fluid improve daily braking? I don't want to spend 2000-4000 on brakes solely for the bling factor like some (I know - no comments about the wheels. The chrome is a nessecary evil as I do not like to polish aluminum).

This is what the car looks like at this time

I went more of a "budget" route and used the brake package from the
C6 Z51. You need at least 18" wheels so you're got that covered, and they fill the space behind the wheel nicely. I am using the Delco ceramic pads, which you should consider since you're wheels are hell to clean!
C6 Cross-drilled (Z51)
13.4" front
13.0" rear
89060328 – Front Brake Rotors
89060329 – Rear Brake Rotors
88964166 – Front Brake Caliper Bracket
88964167 – Rear Brake Caliper Bracket

Unless your wheels were specifically made for BBK's none of these will fit

I thought CCW was pretty good at designing wheels to fit most BBK?

I think you have to let John know in advance of making them if you are going to a BBK. You might want to check with them on this issue. Nice wheels.
