[Z06] Honey Do Mod List
Since I've had the car (late June) I've added the following -
CAGS Bypass
CCW Wheels
I have in route -
C6Z06 shifter and ****
Grey two-tone seat covers
Window Tint
LG Headers
I think my next mod will be a set of brakes. The CCW wheels and larger tires (19's all around) have added a bit of weight not to mention the wheels are chrome plated. I've noticed a rather larger difference in stopping power.
What are you opinions on a brake setup that would be used 90% on the street?
The ones I've considered are -
WILWOOD
STOPTECH
MOVIT
C6Z06 OEM BRAKES
What are some of the things I need to know about brakes on the C5Z. Would a better pad and SS lines and fluid improve daily braking? I don't want to spend 2000-4000 on brakes solely for the bling factor like some (I know - no comments about the wheels. The chrome is a nessecary evil as I do not like to polish aluminum).
This is what the car looks like at this time

C6 Z51. You need at least 18" wheels so you're got that covered, and they fill the space behind the wheel nicely. I am using the Delco ceramic pads, which you should consider since you're wheels are hell to clean!
C6 Cross-drilled (Z51)
13.4" front
13.0" rear
89060328 – Front Brake Rotors
89060329 – Rear Brake Rotors
88964166 – Front Brake Caliper Bracket
88964167 – Rear Brake Caliper Bracket

Unless your wheels were specifically made for BBK's none of these will fit
