That's great. I'm glad you didnt let the C5 community down.

What kind of mods is he planing to do now that you showed him who's boss? and what mods are you going to have to do to keep up with him?

Not bad times for a stock auto c5 in Floridas summer heat.

Needless to say, he was making excuses the whole time. Usual stupid excuses most people make up when they lose a drag race, e.g. "Well I couldn't get traction! It hard to launch a 6 speed." Those were the main excuses. Well he wants to get a chip for it now. More than likely, those 3.2L I6 motors are probably already maxed out, unless he wants to spend thousands of dollars for a turbo kit.

I'll just have to wait for more mod money because my C4 is currently under the knife. But the next thing for my C5 is maybe a nicely cammed LS2 402 stroker. Maybe a 3.42 gear swap and a nice 3000 rpm stall torque converter. But my dad said I have to save up more $$$ and work at the shop a little more. Then I can play with the big guys!

I wouldn't think my A4 Vette would be good on a slalom/road/autoX course against an M3. The auto gear ratio is spread very far apart. It would have too much rpm drop from gear to gear. If I wanted to swap over a 6 speed and better gears, + the Z51 suspension, I suppose it would be pretty close.

Plus both of us are not the autox/road car types. Straight lines for now.

Any car can go fast in a straight line. Just strap a jet engine on it.

The road course is where you really test a cars performance.

That's great, good job, I also like that you posted the results, a lot of times people say they are going to but I seem to never see them, again congrats

this may be true, but what is the price for having to be seen in one of those unsightly things. m3s are sharp no doubt. i guess i just don't care for the evos style at all.[/QUOTE]
