I had the same problem. The eyelets installed on the wiring harness are too small for the post. Take a good set of side-cutters, or tinsnips, and cut about 1/3 of the eyelet off. Then with a bit of not-so-gentle persuasion they'll fit snuggly.

As far as the ground wires go, I could only find one ground in the battery tray area. . .the one down at the bottom, towards the engine. Problem is, it screws into the compartment from the underside. Find a shouldered nut that will fit that bolt and secure the black/ground wires with it.

I gotta say, while I love these lights, and the price was definitely right, that last part of the install was a major PITA.

congrats on the new HID's.

while i'm sure Nate's installation instructions are good, if anyone needs VERY SPECIFIC installation instructions with pics, feel free to PM me with your email address and i'll send them to you.

i've had mine on for about a year and a half now and LOVE them.

Mickey,

I took a drill and made the eyelets a litte larger. This way they will slide over the stud.

Pull the black battery plastic piece that surrounds the battery. It attaches on the cowl and the on the side with a plastic clip. Directly under the battery surround in the center you'll see a ground post. Hook up the black wires there.

I have a set of the original instructions in a PDF. If you need them send me a PM with your email address.

Tony

I hooked my red wire to the post on the alternator with the thick red wire already on it. I grounded the black wire to the headlight bracket where it mounts to the chassis. No problems.

Good luck... sounds like you have help on the way.

When you get them installed, you wonder what you did without 'em

micky just cut the ring so you can make the opening wider and then slip it on the post.

the post nut will lock it down and hold it in place.

like ajg1915 said, pm either of us your email address if you need more specific instructions.
