Question About Ebcm
HI there,
I was checking the gm vehicle inquiry system on my 01 vette. On 9/2/05/ R.O# 118092. A body control module computer was replaced under gmpp at 7692 miles. This was before I owned the car.My question: Is this the same EBCM which every body is having problems with concerning the abs & traction control systems or a different module? If they are different modules, Where are they both located on the vehicle? What systems does the body control module computer operate or cause to fail? Thanks for your advice

Although its bass ackwards, that probably refers to the Body Control Module (BCM) not the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM). Two entirely diferent computers. The BCM controls many of the basic functions on the car (such as turn signals, DRLs and a host of others). The EBCM is the computer for the active handling/traction control system
