Add Traffic, Weather and Radio
With an optional XM antenna and a subscription to XM services, you can check the weather, monitor traffic tie-ups and listen to XM radio when you travel with the StreetPilot 7200 in the U.S. As an alternative, the 7200 can receive optional TMC traffic alerts (in select cities) when used with a compatible traffic receiver. Simply touch the screen to view traffic details or recalculate your route to avoid traffic.
The Nuvi 660 and 680 don't, according to the Garmin website:

I've been looking at the Garmin 650 which is identical to the 660 except it doesn't have Bluetooth (and FM transmitter), or the traffic update receiver, which is $60 a year to subscribe to anyway. It runs anout $130 cheaper than the 660. I'm almost sure it's the one I'm going to go with. Now, if the 660 had voice recognition for the Bluetooth, so I could dial hands-free, I might have changed my mind. They seem identical except for the two features I mentioned.

I just bought a Nuvi 660 and am still playing with it and figuring out how it works.
My husband has a Nav system in his Acura that does just about everything and works very well - so it's taking a bit to get used to the Nuvi in how it works compared to what we're familiar with (acura nav).
This is primarily for me in my truck (I'm directionally challenged) and for the vette also.
The blue tooth feature is really cool. It's not perfect in clarity by far but it does the job and better than fumbling with the phone while your driving. My husband and I have had conversations from his Acura (blue tooth) and the Nuvi - and in those situations...it works better while the vehicle (with nuvi) is sitting still. But like I said...for what it is, it's just fine. And ...I can actually answer my phone calls while I'm driving (my cell is in my purse and I can never hear it ringing). As for the voice recognition - haven't played with that too much yet. Also - when talking on the phone in the NUVI - you'll want the volume down a bit. If the volume is too loud, it reverbs into the microphone and sounds like chit to the person you're calling.
As for the FM transmitter..... I just can't find an FM channel that'll work. All of the FM channels around here are scattered with light signals and the Nuvi just doesn't over-power it.
I really like the Nuvi so far.....
Note : With the Nuvi - you can transfer your phone book information out of your phone into the Nuvi. However....your phone has to be capable of doing that (My phone isn't capable of it).
