Default Traction

Alright i really want to know how some of you guys with 500 or 600 horsepower hookup. I have a head and cam swap that comes out to 424 rwhp and i can not get traction off of a launch. I would like to know what suspension mods i could make to get better traction. I already have nitto 555rs outback but they cant hook up. Help me please.

There's nothing you can do about it.... except change your mindset. Wide Open Throttle is only something you can do when you're sure of your "footing".

Progressive throttle is the key to best performance. ...and lots
of practice.

That makes alot of sense. I come from a stock 05 GTO where i could just dump the clutch at like 3 grand and the thing would just take off the line like a cheetah. I think its just gonna take a lot more seat time.

I have nearly 400 rwhp and can barely bark mine. BUT that's the way they should be. I have Penske suspension with upgraded sways, and Michelins. This combo hooks up and launches very well with the auto trans. The Nitto is a pretty stickey tire.

You guys got alot of horsepower. If I had that problem I might try softer springs in the rear, softer sway bar and wider tires.

Maybe add some weight to the rear too.

With my 505 RWHP, traction is practically nonexistent with street tires.. ...the fun factor is priceless though...

Try M/T drag radials for strip action and launching on the street.
Nittos never worked for anyone i know w/ 425 + hp.
