Hey, remember when you were a teen riding around with buddies!! I agree that it is not appropriate, but if they were teens, I could understand. On the other hand, if adults.....
In either case, it is inappropriate, but I like to think that teens think it is funny. (I am 63.) I have not shot the bird much lately, either.

Was driving a C7 Vert back from Detroit last fall (picked up for a local dealer) and same thing happened to me. Three college age guys in the other car - just attributed it to them being jerks.
I had an SUV riding my *** for a few miles flipping their winshield wipers and flashing their lights. So when they went to get around me I sped up and when they finally caught back up they drove by and flipped the bird, passenger and driver. They pissed me off because there was 3 open lanes, but they wanted to harrass me, which is why I even screwed with them. When we came up to some traffic later up the road they flipped me the bird again and then proceeded to drive 80mph by traffic up the shoulder by the slow lane. Guess what, kharma hit real quick and a few miles up the road they lost control of their car and crashed down a 40-50 drop off. I don't know if they lived or not, but it looked like a really bad accident. What have I learned, ignore ***holes! You might save somebody elses life. It was a miracle they didn't hurt someone not involved.
