Nothing drives like a vette! No reason to NOT drive them. Hop in, turn the key, hit the gas and SMILE!!!

The thing I find odd is you must still enjoy them as you post on the CF. Are you saving them for the grandkids? Enjoy the fruits of your labor and go find all the covered bridges in your area. Find the scenic overlooks. Go to a cruise night. Make excuses to drive them.

Put a blower on one of those Vettes and you will always be finding a reason to drive

The vette is a great car to have. When I'm extremely or just feel like driving, I get out and Relieves a lot of tension

Forget about needing a reason to drive or a place to go - just hop in and take off. Spontaneous trips can be a blast.

Hi bigcypress -

I have been blessed with the ability to drive for hours with no place in mind to go to.

It's called cruising, and I have been doing it since I was 16.

I just returned from an hour long trip to nowhere with my wife in my Z06.

It was 11:00pm, and the Z needed gas, so we took a nice, long cruise.

It comes harder for some folks, but all you have to do is get in and find your happy place(s).

best regards -

My "Around the block" for no reason other then I enjoy the car

Trip down a stretch of US1 thats not inhabited (Open Road). Turn Left

Trip through a National Forest (Curves Ahead!). Turn Left

Trip along the Atlantic Ocean with an unobstructed view - just you and the water. Turn Left

Head Home! (Opportunities to stop at businesses if i am hungry or need something)

It takes approx 1 hour from start to finish.

I was seriously considering taking video or pics of this drive. Its absolutely amazing.

My Advice to OP -- Enjoy the car for what it is.

This is just my opinion:

Sell the C5 is you really feel you need to 'sell' something. But keep the mid-year -- a rare and classic beauty!! Better yet, keep 'em both!!!

I'll second that! You can't worry and drive a 'Vette at the same time!

I try and drive mine AT LEAST once a day whether it needs it or not! Always puts a grin on my face!

Since I've had the 'Vette, (6 months, now), the Harley is gathering cobwebs! Oh well, she's been ridden hard for 17 years now! She needs a break!

Ya know, I've never thought of it that way. I too, sometimes have trouble having fun. Sometimes it's just easier to stay home and sit on the couch. But once I get up and get going, I'm always glad I did; and feel much better for doing so.

I'm sitting in DC with out the car and wanting to drive it like crazy but can't. Now I have a procharger sitting back home waiting to be installed. I may not do anything but drive the car when I get back. No reasoin to get a job right away, right?

Hey....just spend a bit of time keeping the car waxed and polished.

I drive more than 120 miles a day back and forth to work. When I get home and the weekend comes I don't care to drive anywhere with anything. However, when I do go out, if only to the store, I take the 'Vette !

So, don't worry if you're not driving the 'Vette. Hell, there are probably many of us who don't do some of the things we used to.

Just relax and keep the car lookin' good !
