Kydex is used by custom knife makers to form sheaths for custom made knives. That’s how I found it, I make knives as a hobby. I get mine from this web site. I used the concealex for the nano install.

It's not that hard to do if you comfortable with a drimel tool. You do have to cut on the radio bezzel (if that's the name of the plastic thinge that goes in front of the radio/ AC controls) thought. If you want to do it yourself drop me a PM and I'll walk you through the process.

I used the GM iSimple to run the ipod through the stock system.

I just installed mine today and it works great. It's a kit from peripheral electronics ($99 at Best Buy). The GM kit comes with three different harnesses to cover various GM models. If you have the factory cd changer in the back, you can use harness PXHGM2. Disconnect the cd changer, plug in the interface and route your cable to the ipod and you're in business! If you don't have the cd changer, you need different cables. Here's a link.

That is freaking awsome. I have my ipod hooked up to the stock head unit as well but not nearly as cool(just in the center console).

Did that sheet of "concealex" have the carbon look or how did you do that?

Yes, Kydex comes in several different colors and concalex comes in the carbon look.
