I've got a 02 Z06 on order and it's coming very very soon. Sold for about $1500 under MSRP.
Learned of another 02 Z06, exactly like mine on order but with 4000 miles on it selling for $43000.
Wait to have the brand newbie and pay more for it or settle for slightly used, no lux tax and several thousand cheaper? What would you guys do? I'm just wondering why someone would sell their 02 Z06 after 4000 miles?
I go through about 15 cars a year...( yes I'm sick )...There are guys like me that turn them over quickly.....just run the VIN# at any dealership for a quick service history on the car...Sounds like a good deal.
The used Z06 sounds like a good Deal!!!but I never did have much sense....so I went with a new one even tho it cost more...cause I wanted it to be all mine and wanted the first experience in that car to be mine...
I had the same opportunity when i ordered my 02 (being built next week) there was one
just like i wanted but slightly used w/500 miles at a good deal. I opted for new because,
I am very meticulous and i think the first 500 miles on a car are important I want to know
how those miles were put on. also, wash technique is important to me (for black esp.)
if you want to avoid scratches & swirls. so if i buy new, i am in control of those things
i told my dealer this morning to leave the plastic on the seats & don't wash my car & i
want to pick it up on day of delivery. can't wait !! :chevy
Your choice really depends on the interest rate (if you are taking out a loan).
Since 0% is running through the 18th of November you could buy a new Corvette at 0% for 36, .9 for 48, and 2.9 for 60
A used car loan is 7.25 - 8.5 %
If you run a quick look at the total ammount you'd pay at the end, its not that much better of a deal. Here is the break down on a used car loan at 7.25% for $43000 vs $49000 for a new car at 0% for 36 months. Listed are the loan %, the monthly payment, and the fnall ammount paid.
Thanx to all of you for your input! The financing is an issue so I think I'll go with the new one...also, I've become very meticulous about car care and just enjoying them...brand new and breaking the baby in myself does seem really appealing.
I'll take the $$$ hit this year...if you think of it that way ...but you only live once...right? I'm also looking down the line at a C6...
