Anyone know how to keep the warning chime from ringing with ACC. on and the door open? Trying to listen to the radio while cleaning the interior, it drives me nuts!

I don't have a diagram, but you should be able to track down the chime module and unplug it. It usually looks just like a flasher unit.

I have a "Window Valet" in my '02 and when I unlock my doors with the fob the radio comes on and my windows both go down by pressing the unlock button on the fob three times in quick succession. I suppose you could listen to the radio as long as you want or until your battery runs down. All this is done with your key in your hand, not in the ignition.
This "Window Valet" I mention is available from Southern Auto Parts. They are a forum vendor and sell numerous things like tail light seals, etc. They post on here frequently. The "Window Valet" is especially helpful for vert owners in that it allows you to raise your windows after raising your top without getting back in the car. All you do is touch the lock button on your fob three times.
I hope this info helps. I love my "Window Valet and tail light seals.

I must have a '98 "oddball". I can open the door w/key at ACC, radio on, and it doesn't ding. Only dings if key is in ignition OFF position and I open door.

Start the car, open the windows, turn on the radio, get out, close the door, reach in and turn the key off.
The radio should continue to play for about 15 min I think.

This is exactly what I want, like if I accidently leave the key in the car. It's irritating to hear that "DING DING DING" while the interior on the 'Vette and trying to hear the radio. I guess I'll have to play it louder, even though I know it's there!
I might try something though. On late model Ford trucks, there was a tab in the steering column that could be removed. It still warned you if the lights were on and the door open, but you could leave the key in the off position without it dinging.
