Hy guys and girls, my brother in law is looking at buying a co-workers 2002 coupe, the only option I am sure it has is 2 tops, car has about 40,000 miles on it, how much is it worth?
Car has prefered option group 2, has body side mouldings, auto , Z-51 3:15 rear, and I was wrong has 30,000 miles on it, very well cared for and maintained, she wants $27K for it, the way it was cared for, and the piece of mind that comes from it is important, has the GM extended warranty untill 5/08.

I looked it up on the Kelly Blue Book site (which is usually high) and it said the car was worth $29,315 for private party sale.
Z51 package is desirable, and 30K miles isn't bad for a 5 year old car. I think somewhere in the area of $25K - $27K is a fair price assuming everything is in excellent condition including tires, suspension, paint, etc.
Here's a handy checklist that can be printed out to look over the car....

I just purchased my 02 coupe about 4 months ago from a dealer. 34,000 miles, 6-speed, HUD, just about all the options, for 29,000.00 just to give you an idea.
On 2 June I paid 29,200 for a 2002 e.blue,w-bothtops,auto,all options and is spotless and had 8300 miles on it. I said that to say if you have patiance there are some very nice vettes out there with very low miles , but that is just a fair price.
