I am new to vettes and plan to buy when I return from Iraq. But I was wondering today. How often do you rotate your tires? I have been driving a pick up truck so I normally rotate all four. but Vette owners have different sizes around the vehicle. Do the tires last longer because the car is so light?
No rotation of Vette tires (they are 'directional' tires - meaning they can rotate in one direction only).
The tires on Vettes last for X period of time, depending on driving conditions/habits, tire manufacture, etc. This is the same situation that exists with any tire on any vehicle.

The only "rotation" possible is to move the L/F tire to the R/F wheel and vice versa. Same for the rear. A PITA and probably a little pricey since it would involve mounting/dismounting all 4 tires and the requisite re-balancing of same.
If you get a non-unidirectional tire you can rotate side to side. I have Kumho Ecsta ASX's on mine and can rotate if needed. It will help extend the mileage just a little more.

Directionals can be rotated side-to-side too. As stated earlier, it would involve dismounting and re-mounting of tires to maintain directionality.
