Solid top during the summer, or no top at all. And, I've taken the top off at a stop light before because it is so easy to do and takes less than 30 seconds......nothing hard about that at all.

When I had the dual top option on my '99, I used the clear top probably 98% of the time. Just liked being able to see out of it. However, on very hot days, I did put the painted top on to keep the interior heat down.
As of 7:30 this morning I now own a glass top and it is here to stay. I like being able to look out the top. I keep finding myself looking out the top at trees instead of looking at the road.
Solid all the time. I hate sunroofs. I tried the glass top for about 24 hours but couldn't stand the sun in my eyes. I've tried driving with no top but the wind buffeting is just too much.
I greatly prefer the clear top, as I love to see the sky (my next Corvette definitely will be a vert ).
That said, from about Memorial Day to Labor Day the sun here in VA is just too intense, so the solid top goes on -- but even then it's only on when it's raining, or when it's so hot out that I have to close up the car and use the air conditioning.
I use the painted one most because of the heat...but I also think it looks better. I use the clear roof only in winter and like the open feel it gives the cabin.

Texas summers are too brutal to run the glass year-round.
