I can only vouch for the PS2's. Huge improvement over runflats.

The quietest tire I've used are the Firestone Firehawk wide ovals, they are not offered in a size for a standard Corvette, but they are offered in a Z06 size. I have a set on my Mustang GT, they are incredibly quiet! I thought the BF Goodrich G-Forces on my Corvette were quiet, but this tire blows them away in quietness, plus they are very quick steering, and have very low roll resistance. I like them a lot.

If you want to stick with a runflat tire, the Firestone Firehawks are quiet. I've been very pleased with mine.

Make sure your tire air pressure is okay. I run 28 psi rear and 30 psi front with my runflats. I have gotten 55,000 miles from front tires and 40,000 miles from rear tires. You will have bump stear and tramlining (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete...currentpage=38) with OEM runflats.

Here is a great sound insulation thread:

I would plug my cheap, easy, and effective mod, put fiberglass batts in the tree wells, put them in plastic garbage bags first. You will be surprised.

I bought Kumho's and they made a very noticable difference in lowering the sound coming from the tires by more than half.

You can read reviews through the tire section under Corvette Store on the left side of the page.

We just replaced our Firestone run-flats with Goodyear GS D3s. There is not comparison. The Goodyears are absolutely quiet with a nice ride - it is now a pleasure for us to drive our roadster with the top down while listening to the Corsa exhaust and the radio.
