No need. The 3M tape that Vette Essentials uses is plenty strong. Just make sure to thoroughly clean the vinyl on the door panel to remove any Armor All or other protectant as well a dirt/grease, etc. I've had mine for about a year now and no problems at all.

looks like some great stuff... but heres my question..Is there anyway you could just do a dull silver finish, almost like the current stock c6 comes with? and also would love to know if we could get one fitted for double din and HVAC moving down...if you can do that, prepare to sell out faaaaaaaaaaaaaaast...i think half the forum is probably salivating waiting for that answer..saw a few people brought it up before me..thanks for the info! good luck and nice products
I bet if you were to send them your double-DIN converted bezel, they probably could do it for you.BTW, I too would like to see a silver finish offered.

I have been busy as heck when I got back from vacation.
I started on the project this evening. My wife wonders if I will be able to put it back together.
Here's the stock pieces sitting next to the new CF pieces. The new pieces are gorgous. The pics don't do them justice.
Here's the gauge cluster put back together.
I'll post up some more pics or start a new thread tomorrow.

I'm getting a little pissed off here. I ordered a console that cost $219 on the website a month ago and I haven't seen anything yet. No shipping confirmation, not jack. I get my credit card statement and it shows a debit of $540 to TKO. I sent a PM several days ago asking when I should receive the part and I get ZERO response. I am pissed. I'd like to know WTF is going on.
You shouldn't be selling something you don't got.

I bought this and the sample I saw did not appear to have so much gold...To me it looks like the vette essentials piece. I did not like theirs due to the amount of gold in it. I was under the impression that these were made by a different vendor....Now I'm worried...

I got the gun metal CF and in person there doesn't appear to be any gold tine to it. I've got an older digital camera, maybe that's why. I'll get it all back together today and post some pics.

Part arrived today and I have to say it is very nice. The dark gun metal looks great and gives the interior a sinister look. There is no gold color to it at all.
