Door Mounted Reflectors.

I'm wondering if I will regret asking this question- as I have a feeling it maybe a really stupid one, but here goes.The red reflector on the inside of the door trim- is it a reflector-or should it illuminate when the door is opened? Are all vettes fitted (c5) or only export models?

You know, it would have been an excellent safety feature to light up when the door opens. I wondered about the same thing. Just like the dimmer mirrors, they forgot about the passenger side one!

You know, they can't think of everything. They were to busy designing the Column Lock.
