Default Brake Fluid Recommendation

I will be putting on some nice new powdercoated calipers and am wondering if I should change the fluid while doing the swap. What brake fluid would be best? This is used strictly on the road, no racing. I have Baer Eradispeed rotors for appearance. Would a synthetic be the best way to go? All suggestions would be appreciated!

I always use Castrol LMA. I've used it in every car that I have had. When Valvoline came out with their Syn, Castrol became hard to find. I'm able to get Castrol at most places that sell foreign parts. Living in Florida, I want a fluid that doesn't absorb moisture & that's what Castrol is noted for.

Valvoline seems like the most widely available. Valvoline seems to be the one to go with. Thanks for the info

I used quart which allowed for the fluid to come out as clean as it was in the new container at each wheel.

I used Motorcraft Dot 3 high performance brake fluid. High boiling point for a conventional fluid. Replace the dirty fluid in the master cylinder before you start. Start with the bleeder farthest from the master and bleed until you get clean fluid.

I recently changed all the fluids on my car.

For the brakes I used Motul 600 RBF.

Valvoline Synpower Dot 3& DOT 4
It is a borated ester that has a higher boiling point and is less hygroscopic than Dot 3 fluids.

The valvoline is good stuff, better than stock. Definitely change/bleed all of the fluid, the color that comes out will suprise you. Change the clutch fluid as well while you are at it(same fluid). here is the link for instructions.... Takes about 1 big bottle, and 1 small bottle for the whole deal...

The ATE's pictured above are very good high temp fluids. They are BOTH the same fluid, just one is BLUE and the other AMBER. Nice to swap each time, makes it easy to see when the old fluid is completely out.

Motul 600 is also a great brake fluid...

Why is the Valvoline "great stuff" other than it can be purchased at AutoZone or Advance for about $2.50 a bottle?. Castrol LMA (not so easy to find) is a low moisture activity DOT 4 fluid.
