I bumped into an ice cooler in my garage (>1mph) and chipped the paint on my front bumper. The paint cracked and when I took the car to the carwash, the power wash tunnel peeled off 1/2" of paint? How do I fix this without the $1,000 paint job or the $10 paint can patch job?
I live in San Diego, any shops that you can refer me to would be appreciated.

Go to dealership and ask who they use to repair chips and dents. There are mobil detailers that do these type of repairs. I have had 2 dents taken out and 1 deep scratch repaired on my wifes car. Charged $75 each time and can not even see where repair was.

There is a place here called Dents Unlimited that specializes in repairs like that. May be some similar shop near you. BTW, a complete repaint of the front bumper should only cost around $250 (at least it does here). Might cost a bit more there due to higher labor costs.
