Look outside your area. It's worth it to get a better car for your money. I could NEVER have found my Z06 for $20k near my home. There just aren't that many around with enouph miles to make them cheap enouph for me. When you just want transport for $3000, look no further than your hometown. But if you want a good deal on a specialty car that's the way you want it, a national search or at least regional search is the only way you will find it. Good luck!

Ptindall has good advice. Different areas have different prices as well as numbers of prospective cars. I drove 650 miles to pick up my '01 Z06 and flew 1500 miles to get my wife's 2000 FRC, but it was worth the extra time and expense for sure.
