Default PCV Valve Connection - Elbow

In another thread concerning checking the udders for clogs, a poster (can't remember who) commented that while doing this, check the rubber elbow at the PCV valve, for deterioration. I did and yup, it fell apart (rotted). Solution: went to the local auto repair shop and got a couple of old spark plug wires out of the trash. Trimmed and used the (L shaped) spark plug boot to replace the rubber elbow. Works great.

Cheers

Thanks for the tip. I removed the elbow when I installed my coalescing filter, although the elbow goes back in-place just before the smog check is due - no need to have the smog tech question a c-filter as not being CARB-approved!.

Now that is a low buck fix! I had the same problem and used a brass elbow with some 3/8 fuel line on either end. You may want to check the pcv valve rubber fitting also. Mine was starting to go bad.
