They make Corvettes in other colors besides Red 
Seriously, as many here have said, if Red is what you like, then Red is what you should buy. Each of us can debate on the fast color, the right color, stock or modded but we each enjoy the car we picked and that is the real joy of it.

I was watching that show where they prove or debunk myths once and for all, I think it's called mythbusters. Anyways, they had a show where they were testing the myths around driving red cars. To make it short, they pretty much showed by insurance and law enforncement statistics that RED cars do not get into more accidents than any other color. In fact red cars were in LESS accidents than any other color car, contributing to less than 1% of the total over the past 10 years. Also, RED cars get FEWER tickets than other car colors according to the police statistics HQs analysis. Of course, they were showing a Red vette driving around during the discussion

I've got a magnetic red 01 and I get complements on it all the time. I think forest green is the only color out there that no one else has. I think they only made like 50 a year or something like that. Just looked it up its called Fairway Green Metallic and they made about 2500 of em.

Nothing wrong with a Red Vette.
BUT, for me, I don't like the Torch Red or other Red incarnations they have had for the car.
My wife has a Boxster S and that Guards Red is the best I have ever seen, very close to Cherry Red, which is my favorite.
Red Vettes get a wave from me just like all the rest
