Help With Codes
Hello everyone, ok guys i went to the track yesterday and everything seemed ok but today on my way to work the check engine light came on. the codes that popped up are p0420 and u1160. btw it seems to run ok. can someone help me out with this thanks.

Found out what the codes are.
P0420: Catalyst System Low Efficiency
U1160: Lost Communication with XXX
Does that mean that my cats are bad, and would they be covered under my extended warranty?

the 1160 code often pops up after a power glitch
If the cars driving OK, I'd reset the codes and see if it reoccurs. If not you may be good to go. Could have been transitory

Ok guys its been a couple of days and no codes yet, but I was thinking should I wait a couple more days or should I get some new cats and if so which ones should I go with stock or aftermarket like random tech cats, or should I save some cash and get some LT headers, and are any of them smog legal or will they pass the sniffer test.
