Came home for lunch (3 mile drive) today. Put the key in the ignition, as I do since I purchased it, buckle up as the seat and steering wheel resume my settings and turn the key and nothing. Seems all the electrical is working fine, seat, steering and radio but no starter.
The only thing I've done to the car in a little over a month is install the CLB. Could this be causing the problem?
does everything work on the on position and then when you turn it to start everything goes dead? if so, you may have damaged the chip on your key or got it dirty. if this hasn't happened, it's something else.
This happend to me about a week ago. I never did find out what it was and even posted about it here. I went out for lunch from work, not to home either. And I get back in the car to go back to work and no start. Same as you. I kept trying and nothing. Looked at all the hoses and connections I can see and nothing wrong. I waited a couple minutes and decided to give it a shot before calling my roommate and it started right up. I just got the car a few weeks ago and nothing before or after like that happend. I still don't know why it happend so I am interested if you find anything out.

Double check your battery connections, etc. How about codes?
BTW, check the connector on your CPP (Clutch Pedal Position)switch under the dash too. Just get under there and you'll see it. It's the one that the clutch pedal contacts when you push the pedal all the way down.

I went through your exact starting nightmare last year. Bill Curle, our resident electric guru, told me it was the starter. I replaced the starter and almost a year later she still starts every time.
