You Americans better make sure that when you are in Ontario make sure you use your E/M button to switch from MPH to KPH or we will hear you complaints on the forum. This makes the VA speeding ticket look like nothing
Ont. to impose $10,000 speeding fines
In its battle against extreme speeders, the Ontario government said Wednesday drivers caught going 50 kilometres or more over the speed limit will be treated the same as street racers.
That means issuing an immediate seven-day driver's licence suspension at roadside.
As well, in June, the province strengthened penalties for street racers and drunk drivers with its Safer Roads for a Safer Ontario Act. The legislation increased fines for convicted street racers up to $10,000 -- the highest street-racing fine in Canada.

and just think a few years ago it was the called the north american autobahn by some. i used love to open it up on hwy 401 but now i guess thats a thing of the past it was good while it lasted.

Of course that is 93 Mph so not many of us would be driving that fast anyways. I usually went about 80 when driving the QEW, 401, 403 and 402. With all the traffic it is hard to do more than that. The 402 is about the only place where you could run that fast without having traffic problems.

With 4XX series hiways alread at a 110 KMPH speed limit that means doing > 99.4 mph in a 68.35 MPH zone
or 93.2 in a "60 "
or 80.7 in a "50"
so it is a bit excessive...

this is complete crap.
I wish they should punish people who steal cars half as harshly as those those who speed. and simply speeding is in no way shape or form street racing, and calling it that is just stupid.
