Default Need part number please

I'm finally going to bite the bullet and fix my hazzard switch and the dim HVAC unit this week, as long as it was going to be apart I noticed lately that the gear selector light doesnt light up, anybody know what kind of bulb, or bulbs, I need or maybe a part number. Thanks

Do you need the part number for the hazard flasher, or the AC unit? What year is the car? Have you checked with www.gmpartshouse.com ? Gene will have all the parts you need and he'll usually answer you within a few hours unless he's busy or away...and it's a great place to order the very parts you'll need anyhow..That website is going to ask for the part number, but if you look around there is a place where you can look up the numbers for whatever part you need, then enter it and it'll price the parts for you.....Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply, I just need to know what is used to light up the gear selector, (automatic) is it just a bulb or is it some sort of an LED, I work for a small car dealership so I can get the parts for cost,I'm sure it will be a little cheaper than GM parts store, but of course at one of the new car dealerships that we get parts from, they dont know, go figure I think I may have to try a different dealer that we deal with, unless someone here knows what I'm going to need..... Please anybody..... Thanks, Ozzie

Hi there,

No part of the HVAC controller is available separately. Although you may find you can replace the bulb, you cannot purchase it from GM.

Thanks, Gene.
