I believe you are referring to F45 (suspension package).
It is better than stock, not as good as F55 (not available until 2003 - unless like I did you install it in place of the F45).
The F45 is beneficial, but to really improve it (without going to the F55 or coil overs, etc.) you should change out the other parts of the suspension (sway bard and end links are a start).
The Vette will handle much better in doing so.
