Armed with the part number I got on CF,I go down to the local BMW dealer, and I give the parts man the number, he comes back with 4 matchbook size pucks, I couldn't believe it, they were about maybe 2x3inches,are these big enough?, since I didn't have my Vette I didn't buy them. Anybody have these, part #51718268885or something else? Thanx Denny

You'll find more if you use keywords "BMW jacking pucks". Get the round one in case you add rocker protection in the future. I got mine from an online source...bavauto.com BMW Part#: 51 71 1 960 752

I have not tried the BMW pucks -- but from other posts I've seen on this site, you might have the wrong part number. Other posts state you need BMW #51 71 1 960 752.
Found mine online at that other big site(good deal with carry bag too)....look just like hockey pucks with an eye bolt in them. work good but don't leave them in all the time. Something like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HEAVY...QQcmdZViewItem

I bought the same ones, but they were not thick enough to protect from my Jack, so I sold them. My jack has a deep pad on it.

I just bought a set of the BMW jacking pucks - part number 51-71-1-960-752. They are round and snap perfectly into the frame openings. They sit down far enough to where a lift pad will not contact the rocker panel.
There isn't a single jacking pad on the market that is equal to our new re-designed jacking pucks.
Ours are designed with the user in mind, so they are easier to use and are safer to use with our NON-SLIP feature built in. Best of all, they look the nicest and are said to be "a work of art."
Our jacking pads are being offered to the forum members at a lower price than the old fashioned round ones.

the pucks are $7 each from bavauto.com. Shipping for all 4 was anohter $7. They snapped right in with no problems. My local BMW dealer wanted $15 each.
I use a regular sears floorjack but I have to roll the wheels up on wood to get enough clearance to get the jack under the car (with our without the pucks). I'm going to invest in a lower profile jack soon.
