[Z06] Which is faster???

Z06's were only 01 to 04 by the way. I don't know the answer to your question although I suspect the C5 Z is the more performance oriented car, but I do know I would not trade my 03 Z for a C6. I parked directly behind one the other day in the same colour (Millenium Yellow) and the C5 Z is so much better looking. C6 looked like a Japanese Ferrari wannabe.

Mathematically speaking, the c5z is faster (02-04s at least). And generally, most times you see show the c5z to have a slight edge on the c6.
Realistically, when put side to side they'll be equal. The c5z has a better power to weight ratio, but with a slightly larger engine, I'd imagine the c6 would have a flatter torque curve. I could go on, but because this topic has already been beaten into the ground, I'll stop.

I agree with you on looks.
I believe the reason the C5Z is faster then a stock C6 is weight.

C5Z is faster for a few reasons:
*Lighter wheels/tires
*Ligher overall weight
*Less invasive torque management
A standard C6 w/ toning to remove TM and Z06 wheels/tires would be much closer.

Also GM announced that their new ls3 based C6 will approach C5 Z performance levels. There was a post over in C6 GEN showing that the GM posted speed numbers are the same for the Z and LS3, but that the LS3 starts to pull ahead by a little from 130 mph up.
