A lot of it depends on where you live. Couldn't see where you are located, may want to fill out your profile. I drive mine until the snow flies, then put it away until spring.
Buckskinner, You and I are two of a kind. My '99 is my daily driver too. I carpool now so the miles aren't going up quite as fast as they were, but they are still going. The good part about DD's is that it appears the car runs better and lasts longer with fewer problems that those that sit in garages. At least, thats the feeling I get from those of us with high miles. Just turned over 295,000 the other night.
C5's are comfortable, get good gas mileage, and are a blast to drive. I was going to wait until I retired to get another Vette (had one when I was 18 years old), my one son said, "get it now and you will enjoy driving it more". I did and I'm glad. 107,000+ miles on my 98 Coupe (with only 2 problems: oil pressure sensor & one headlight gear), these cars were made to be driven. I have done no performance mods except a Z06 air filter cover (these cars have plenty of power for me on the street), but I have done some appearance mods.
After a bad day at work, you can always look forward to the drive home. My drive was 40 miles round trip, averaged 22.5 mpg.
There are plenty of daily drivers, life is short - drive a Vette !

Mine's a DD- rain and snow (as long as it's not too deep). As long as I have to go to work, I may as well enjoy myself and turn a few heads in the process.
