OK guys, I have a Rolex GMT Master II that Im selling and I have someone in North Carolina interested, he wants to use COD UPS but I feel that if I do that and the buyer pays with a bad cashier check, I will never see the funds ! !
Anyone had experience wit UPS Secured Funds
All I need it is the first 3 inputs...If he wants it bad enought, he will Paypal or Deposit funds in my account.
You have to look at it from the buyers point of view. What if he sends the money and gets no watch?
You can always use a 3rd party escrow company. He sends them the money. You send them the watch. The ecrow company sends you the cleared funds and him the watch.
I have never used COD but if you are the buyer he can be just as uneasy about you saying the only way for this to happen is I get mine then you get yours the buyer cant be100% sure you even have a rolex to sell, put yourself in his shoes, sounds like since both of you cant or dont want to trust each other maybe I would avoid the deal...

You can specify to UPS that you will only accept a cash payment for the C.O.D. (I've done that before to avoid the fraudulent check scenario) So if this guy has the cash, you can have him pay UPS the cash, and all is well.
Paypal with a credit card gives you both some protection. Take pictures and possibly have an appraisal just in case and take down any numbers on the watch. Good luck!
Well, he want to do COD because he also might feel he could get screwed out of $$$$. If you do COD, then he knows the item is right there in front of him before he pays. If he could show you a scanned image of the check, I would do it.
Rolex = $$$$$$, so he is just as concerned.
Tough one there.
FWIW, When I bought a vehicle on Ebay, I took a pic of $3000 in hundreds and emailed it to the guy. He laughed but also was more relieved I wasn't BS'ing him.
Mike, I thought you got vacation alert from your Babe post
Do COD with prepaid shipping and then specify money order only ...
You will ned to contact UPS to make sure if UPS collects bad money order, would UPS pay for that? I beleive UPS responsibility to get the good money order
Good luck!!! and IB4L
