Flamesuit ON!
of course we know its only a matter of time before VA makes that illegal also, I'm sure they'll come up with some reason.
Where your 'seat of the pants' has to gel with your head
..you have to think through what you're doing to what you are gonna have to do in a few minutes?
Go flying.
It really is easier than most people think.
Takeoff is pure drag race ..keep it straight and PUNCH it, HARD!
Landing is all head game.. you have to think about where you are, where you want to be, and do what you have to, to get there, from here.
The more you 'get into it' ..the more there is to do

Flour bombing, Spot landing contests, aerobatics, haulin some serious butt down by the tree tops (nowhere around people!)
Flyin a 'new' type and gettin signed off on it.
Yassir . . I've flown 400mph at <100 feet sittin behind a 1700hp Merlin just purrin away after a split-ess from 8500 feet.. in a TF-51D they call 'Crazy Horse.'
Say what you will .. there aint *nothin* I've done with clothes on that comes close to pure man-machine fun of that flight.

Your local flyin field will have an instructor that will let you learn to fly ..
..usually startin with a $30 'orientation' ride where they take you up in a Cessna or some such and let you take the controls to see how you like 'doin it' instead of just ridin in it.
I was hooked right at takeoff

-Frank (and ya .. tower said to keep it under 250 indicated for the overhead break to downwind for landing ..LOL)
I agree with you on that bro, im currently a student pilot (about 20 hours). I was doing all my training time in my dads Cessna 172 SP, but now he sold that and got a Piper Saratoga TC. Our whole family is pilots, and its a real thrill. Its alot cheaper then everyone thinks too, there are plenty of small, cheap planes that he could buy just to fly around
Other than that, find a good traffic lawyer and get his card. Sock a little money away to pay his fees (like maybe sell half that fleet, that would fund a LOT of tickets). Then go drive like you want. If you get a couple of convictions (which will take some doing if you always lawyer up and have a good one), THEN start worrying about having to tone it down a bit.
Valentine One, good lawyer, and PAY ATTENTION. If you're getting tickets very often, you're not doing it right.
22? Hah. I just turned 53.

P.S. Oh, and another piece of advice: DON'T do your speeding at night. You can't see the cops at night. Nothing dumber than tear-assing around at 3 AM. The cops can hear you coming, you can't see them, and their workload is low. They've got nothing better to do (hopefully) than find you and give you a ticket.

Otherwise, I can see the EMS/EMT's using tweezers to pick what's left of you off a canyon wall or a large tree somewhere.
I too learned to fly when I was 20. Forty years later, it is still the greatest rush there is. At complete peace by myself whether it be in a J-3 cub at tree top, or a high performance aerobatic plane or just a good 'get from point A to point B 'high speed transportation device'.
Find peace in other areas. Much to learn grasshopper.
We've all had those trapped feelings before... expensive toys, mortgage payment, so you HAVE to have a job to pay for it. etc. etc.
Some days I'd like to sell it all and go be a ski instructor out in Colorado or Utah.
You haven't been to VIR yet... stop modding the car and save up to run an event... it's a blast. After doing track days I have no desire to speed on the street. Esp. here in Hampton Roads w/ nothing good to drive on. Even Pungo sucks compared to some of the backroads I had access to in Nova.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I live north of Houston and it's bad enough that there working on one major northbound highway, but there tearing up both major northbound highways at the same time... What a cluster!
Throw in a few hundred illegal aliens without valid drivers licenses and you have a recipe for disaster.
I'm moving next month closer to work.... Hopefully that will help my state of being.
Good luck to you.... Believe me... We feel ya buddy!

I just went out and got a bike for a little change of pace whenever I
felt bored. Maybe a different venue would help---
My god, If Im going through this at age 22, I dont WANT to know what 44 is going to be like... (if i make it there...)
stuart, ill definitely hit you up to ride, im selling my 06 and picking up a used 08 next season.

...first get a grip...
Run for your vette...
..and remember to make the most of the opportunities to run hard...
...and when you dont have an open opportunity...
...then remember that you are sitting in the ride that sometimes takes you where, when, and how you want to get there...
I feel your pain...
