C5 shocks

I would like to know if there is A kit to install standard shocks in replacement for the electric system. I just do not have thousands to spend on shocks.

Yes you can... You can replace the eletronic ones for standard ones.

Then you have to have a tech delete the ride control program from the PCM.

Only reason I say a tech, is because they should have a TECH II programer... and last time I looked, they were about $3K.

I can understand that. They certainly are not cheap come replacement time. Good luck if you go with the regular shocks.

You don't happen to have GMPP do you? Just had mine replaced

Sorry to hijack, but what were the circumstances in replacing under warranty? All 4 shocks?

Dave, I called the local chevy dealership after your post and the shop manager said the ride control light would stay on and the active handling would be a problem. Is this someone that does not want to help or maybe just has never tried to delete the shocks?

What year Vette? I changed out my F45s on my 99 and got some resistors from Radio Shack for $4 and my computer believes my orginal shocks are installed and I changed them out for Koni FSD. 01 and newer they can be coded out and you will not have to do thr $4 mod, let me know if you need the procedures and I will pm them to you
