Default Magnaflow ??????????

Need some help.

Never heard a Magnaflow set-up. Everyone seems to have the other brands. Can you let me know what you think about this on a stock C5.

Thanks
Steve

Steve, I've yet to hear them on a stock C5. I did hear them on a modded LS1 camaro and thought they were loud, but awesome. I can tell you they seem very well made.

I have the Magnaflow setup with the X pipe on an otherwise stock 04 vert. They have an nice deep idle and a good, but not loud rumble, at higher rpms. On the freeway, they're barely noticable. At wide open throttle, you know you have a Corvette. My wife likes it, what does that tell you.

Default Magnaflow Exhaust

Really a nice set up if you don't want alot of noise. Not loud, but not quiet either. Really nice low, mellow tone. It is the best looking system once it is installed ,as well. I have had mine a month or so now and the more I drive it, the better it sounds. I got part # 15660, which comes with the x-pipe. Would I buy it again? Yes, I would definately buy it again.

I've only had my '02 coupe for a few weeks now and it definitely needs an exhaust upgrade. I have a Magnaflow system on my Z28 so I'm really sold on the sound. Regarding the Corvette system, what is the advantage in getting the x-pipe in addition to the cat-back? Performance, sound?

Steve, I hope you don't mind that I'm I piggy-backing your thread.

Thanks,
Jay

The X pipe smooths out all the popping and gurgling on deceleration. Possibly add a wee bit of power with the improved exhaust scavaging.
