Default tire replacement

I've worn out the Goodyear EMT's and am shopping for new tires-probably not run flats. What can you recommend?

Goodyear F1 GS-D3 are generally regarded as the best non-radials. They are summer tires though. Noted for being great in the rain.

You may want to fill out your profile, at least where you live, so people can help you.

A good all-weather run flat is Michelin's. It is good in near freezing weather and light snow.

I had better than excellent results from the Michelins I put on my C4. When I bought my C5 the dealer installed new Goodyear EMT's.

Sorry I can't be of more help. Do a search though, I'm pretty sure this topic has been covered extensively, I seem to remember good comments about the Michelin non-run flat and run flats.

I just replaced front and rear tires on my 2000 coupe with new Michelin Pilot Sport A/S ZPs, and am very pleased with my decision, in large part based upon advice and comments from numerous fellow forum members. I wanted to stay with the security and piece of mind of a run flat, so that ruled out many popular non-run flat choices. I read the comments of others who made the same choice as me, but I was still surprised at how much quieter and smoother the Michelins ride. I can actually hear my exhaust when cruising down the interstate @ 65 mph now!

I agree, Goodyear GS-D3s are a great choice. However, if you ultimately decide to stick with runflats, I'd recommend the Firestone Firehawks.

But then again, that's how some of us (including me) learn. Hearing the same thing over and over and over again.
