1. I was driving the other day and started to hear a rattling sound when I would hit bumps toward the front drivers side wheel well of my car. Got it jacked up and found that the lower bushing on my shock was basically torn to shreds. I took it off for now and the noise is just horrendous. The problem is that GM doesnt make that part seperate from a whole new shock. However, I have heard that I may be able to find the part elsewhere. Its a rubber circular piece. Has anyone had this problem? Know where to get a new bushing, or have an extra one laying around? Buying a $760 shock doesnt sound too fun at the moment.
2. My steering wheel squeeks on occasion when turning...will wd40 work if I spray it in that crack between the wheel and where it connects up?
3. Sometimes when I turn on my lights at night, I get a severe delay in how long it take for the interior lights to turn on...anyone got a clue on this one?
Thanks for any input guys.. just trying to get some issues worked out
# 2 My str whl squeeked on occasion also. Was kinda worried about spraying something in there. For a long time I just turned up the volume and didn't hear anything from anywhere
Finally she was throwing a code that to fix they had to take off the steering wheel and I told them about the squeek. They lubed up a few thing in there and now it's gone.
gotcha..hope i can figure somthin out....anyone else got any answers?????
Take your driver's side knee bolster off, very easy. Then remove the metal bracket under there, 4 bolts. Then there are 2 nuts that attach the steering column, take these off, lube all joints and re-assemble. Don't spray wd40 in the gap, remove the pieces and do it correctly.

#3 check to see if the relay for the interior lights is working properly, might just need a new relay.
