I actually know how to use it. I own my own forum board for competitive bodybuilders since that is what I do for a living and we actually encourage people to post new threads as new info is available all the time and there are new people that will post info that you may not have gotten from pulling up an old thread. But I guess you don't encourage that at this forum so I will continue to lurk and not post, thanks.
Well it looks like the CONTROLERS of the Forum have run you off.
Please stick around and do as you damn please until someone who really makes the RULES tells you what you can & cannot do
I have the body side moldings on my car and I am not sure if I like them or not. If I decide that I don't like them are they hard to remove? I assume it is just adhesive that I can remove with a heat gun?
Just wanted some thoughts and opinions if you guys like them or don't like them.
take them off. you need fishing line and 3M adhesive remover. takes 10min on each side.
I was simply curious what other people thought. As stated I am undecided and on the fence. I did not ask how to do it, I am pretty sure I can handle that, and the only reason for the thread is due to my being undecided I value other vette owners opinions on whether they like them or not.
Yes it should only matter what I think but since I do not really have an opinion on this one way or the other I wanted to see what other people thought.
Reread your original post. If you ask for opinions on here, you're going to get them. Take them off one side, look at both, take pictures, think about it. Then do whichever makes you happier. There are lots of people on here who are happy to help. Every poll has come out 50/50 so everybody collectively is on the fence with you. I told you already, my opinion is I like them. Sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear.

I like the BSMs. But if you want to remove them, use a hair dryer and some fishing line to take them off. Might help to have a buddy give you a hand to keep pressure on the BSM as you are sawing through the tape.

I removed mine a few weeks ago. It's basically a three step process:
1. Use a heat gun/hair dryer to heat the area and 50lb fishing line to saw/separate the molding from the door.
2. Use an adhesive remover such as 3M to get rid of the leftover tape on the door.
3. Use a cleaner wax to get rid of the grime.
Be careful and take your time and you won't hurt the paint.

I still can't decide so I am leaving one side with bsms and one side without bsms
My car came with them on. I thought they looked cool at first. Then, after seeing a bunch of them on the CF I decided I liked the cleaner look more. I think I also read that the BSM's weren't part of the original design. They were dealer add-ons. They are all just personal preference.

Don't worry about asking a question that's been asked many times here. It's pretty common and I'm sure that everybody on here has asked at least one or two unoriginal questions since they first came on board.
