Service Manager Admits Can't fix Column Lock Problem
) I was told by the Service Manager that Chevy/GM does not have a repair for the issue and the engineers don't know what to do. I was also told the engineers are contacting all the dealerships and asking them if they can come up with something. The service manager also told me the current repairs they have in place at this time will not work and will fail, its just a matter of time!
I mentioned the CLB by Corvette of Houston. I asked the Service Manager how come they can come up with something and these supposed brilliant Chevy engineers can't come up with something so simple. He didn't have a response.
I am writing a letter to our states attorney general requesting he open an investigation into this matter. GM knows this is an issue and how can they honestly say their engineers can't come up with a fix? I think they know that to truly fix it would cost them so much money that they are just putting a band aid on the problem and hope everyone will just buy the CLB.
One great thing for me my local mechanic that does all my work on my cars told me to buy the CLB and he would put it in for free! (Thanks Bruce at American Car Care Center of Shawano).
