What Corvette colors are easiest to match? Hardest?
The color on my Camaro is very hard to match. GM has several different shades of the same color and you have to mess around to see which one matches closest and then tint it to get it perfect.
I want to avoid buying a car that is a color that's hard to color match. I can paint, wetsand and buff, but I am terrible at tinting paint.
Ok, I'll start off the list of colors that are easy to match...
My personal favorite...
I have Electron Blue and just had the bumper cover painted and the painter said there were no alternates on Electron Blue. Seems weird but that is what he said.
There is a place in my area that has a color scanner that they put on the car and can custom make the color to make it match. It'll never be perfect unless you spray with a gun and blend, but it'll be much closer than over the counter stuff.
Color scanner is a must IMHO. I had the targa top painted to match my sebring silver 98. Had the paint supplier do the scanner thing to my roof bow and the match is absolutly perfect.

I'm trying to avoid that type of requirement. I'd like to be able to DIY any paint repairs. Good info so far, thanks!

I have a 97 Sebring Silver. Have you had any body parts touched up. I heard that Sebring Silver is the hardest to match because of the metal flake. I have several areas (stone chips) that I would like fixed but figured I would have to spend the money and paint the whole car.

For stone chips I use the duplicolor 2n1 for GM 13. works good enough.
