Jim has got to be one of the few people on this forum that can generate a whole lot of excitement just by showing us PRIMERED door panel and console pics...
I know it will look better than the perfect look we all have in our minds already!!
It's sort of like promising us a date with a babe... We know your tastes and if you tell us what she looks like, we know it will be good. We just don't get to see her for a few weeks yet...
Jim has one of the nicest Vetts rolling but you always see him posting compliments to other forum members. Never met him but I sense he is just as good a person as his car looks.
Jim, I can't wait to see the results.... I just started to try to find a local airbrush artist here in our area to do some flames on some pieces. I think I have one and will be talking with him on Monday.

...Hey Jon... ... this has been a lot longer project than expected...The body shop guy has put in close to 100hrs. labor just on the door panels alone trying to get them perfect... ... He has used 2 gal. of filler and then hand/block sanded each coat to get them smooth...
He and I both didn't know the amount labor that would be required to get it done right.. ...I'm just glad we agreed on a price before he started the job...

over 100 hours and 2 gallons of filler on the door panels alone??? "Holy sanding his life away, Batman!!!"
That's big time dedication... and he can say he did your interior pieces when you show it, huh? I assume he's done other work for you? Wow... what a dude!! Better buy him an extra case of beer!!

Not sure where in PA you are in relation to NJ but if your close try Auto Buffs.
Hey Zo6-Jim, Sweet looking ride... Did your shop paint over the leather? will that hold up?
I'm just a little curious, how do they apply paint to the the leather door panels ? And won't it crack or peal in time ?

Thanks for the comments guys... ....the vinyl was stripped off the door panels first and then the panels were finished out with several coats of filler and block sanding...
