I have a stock 2002 coupe and I get about 18.5 in town and 28 plus on the Hi-Way using cruise.
I have a 03 mn6. I usually get 19 or 20 in town mpg and 29 to 31 on the highway. I have gotten as high as 33 on the highway, but that was the exception not the norm.

That seems low. Are you running in 6th all the time? 6th can be worse than 5th at that speed.

I get about 18 in town and 24 highway in my '04 A4...and I'm ok with that
I want to add that I would get 24mpg combined highway and city driving b4 mods. I just noticed your FRC avatar. So if you only got 24mpg only on the highway, then you should look into changing your spark plugs, spark plug wires, air filter (or cleaning it), and fuel filter. I would do a "re-learn" after all this is done.
I got 32mpg on a 470 mile trip from picking it up cruise at 65 90% of the time. Around town and on shorts trips my running average of combined is 22mpg. A4 2.73
I have the same set up. 3.42 with A4, stock TC. Blackwing. I get 19 overall. 24 Hwy.. MAYBE cuz I have Run Flat tires.. really bald... (could this be the reason)?

I would say it's normal. It depends on the terrain, weather conditions, vehicle loading, tire selection and several other factors. You're more likely to see 30+ driving on very flat terrain at cooler temperatures.
I just got my 02 z06 two days ago and i did some math. I get about 4 miles to the galon. is that normal? hahaha. i dont have the self control that you guys have yet...... insted of shifting when i get to 3,000 rpms i get on it because it just feels and sounds so good.

The mileage on mine will vary a bit and I have gotten in the mid-20s before, but usually it is around the high 20's, low 30's. A lot of factors come into play, including the weather, traffic, wind, etc.
I just got back from a trip to North Carolina from New Jersey. According to the computer, I got 28.8 mpg at an average speed of 66.7mph for 671 miles. On the way home to NJ, I got 29.5 mpg averaging 65.6 mph. 66.7 and 65.6 mph average= It's nice to have a radar detector. I have an A4 with stock rear( 2.73), Vararam, and stock GY runcraps. Car has 43K miles on it. To me, it was great fuel economy. It will change when I go to 3.42's and a TC, but you can't have everything.
