Default Help - C6 Shift ****

Does anyone know if you can install a C6 Z-06 shift **** on a C5 Z-06 stock shifter? I do not want to change the whole shifter, just the ****.

Thanks.

The C5/Z06 **** is threaded 9/16-18". The C6/Z06 **** is attached with one small fastener through the side of the lever. It's not threaded 9/16-18". You can find vendors on EBAY that sell a modified C6/Z06 **** that will thread on to your C5/Z06 lever, but he cost is around $80 retail. Used are frequently selling for less in the CF classifieds.
If you're a DIY'er, you might be able to modify your oem C5/Z06 shifter lever by drilling a hole in the side to accept the newer style ****.

Well, said......

It's not that hard.......take out the shifter....clamp it in a vise, drill it....re install it and shift to your enjoyment!
