Steering Colum Lock Code....???

Steering Colum Lock Code....???
OK, Last week I ask for some advice from you all on the correct way to clear my codes to get my car to operate. My car starts fine and runs/idels all day w/no problems. Once I put in into gear, reverse or drive, it shuts down. With that said I tried to reset all the codes that were displayed by using the steps provided to me by some of the members....BUT I still can't reset or clear the last one that is reading "Steering Colum Lock". My steering wheel is not locked it turns....my car will start...it just won't run when put into gear. Like I said I have tried to reset this but it will not clear from the screen and the car won't go more than two feet....any suggestions please???
By the way, I did in fact order a new Colum Lock Bypass Unit from Corvettes of Houston but can I get this moving in the mean time?

Pull fuse #25 for about 10 minutes reinstall and turn the key to on. Should clear it.
Use these instructions: they have pictures and better description then what comes with the CLB.
