Manheim auctions
Hi all,
I am looking for a Corvette C5 to export to the Netherlands, Europe.
Next to this forum and some other sites, i was registrating myself on the Manheim export auction site.
To register, i need to pay 150 USD.
Before i do that, i would like to know whether u guys and girls have any experience with them, and if they are known as a legit company in the US.
Thanks up front!
John

I am not familiar with Manheim export services, but they are one of the largest auto auction companies in the U.S.

I am part owner of a used car lot and we buy 90% of our stock from Manhiem. They are a huge company. Very reputable and professional. Obviously I've never dealt with their export service, but I'm sure it is fine.

Manheim values are the bible when it comes to what the real market is for cars not just Vettes. That is becausee they are so large and move so many vehicles.

I live in the UK and I brought my Vette back frm the US
Its a straight forward process and most of the rules are Euro wide.
$150 sound like a very expensive fee to me.

Manheim is a dealers only Auction and they basically set the weekly wholesale market values for used cars.

if this is the one in pennsylvania, it is huge, i would reccommend it. although i do not know how they are with exporting, and i thought you needed a dealer license to get up there.

When I worked as a used car manager at a gm dealership we got a lot of nice cars thru the Manheim Pa auction site.

PM Redbird2000 and ask him about Manheim. He's very familiar with the auctions and I'm sure he has some info. about the company you can use.
